Hi, my name is Claire Cory. I am a lifelong resident of District 42. I am a graduate of the University of North Dakota. While I was at UND, I had the opportunity to intern with U.S. Senator John Hoeven. I fell in love with public policy but not Washington, D.C. I returned home to District 42 and ran for my predecessor, Jake Blum's seat. I filled the term, ran for re-election, and have been your Representative for the last five years. Promises were made and kept. I delivered tax relief and safe communities and worked on school choice. I humbly ask for your vote on November 5 to continue being your voice in Bismarck.

CLAIRE CORY FOR DISTRICT 42 SENATE

CLAIRE CORY WILL DELIVER FOR DISTRICT 42

  • QUALITY EDUCATION

I am a product of the Grand Forks public school system and am grateful for the education I received. I will continue to invest in good public education. I also prime sponsored school choice legislation which would provide more options for parents who know what is best for their children.

  • ENSURING SAFE COMMUNITIES

Safe communities provide residents with a sense of security and peace of mind. Ensuring an environment where you can live, work, and raise a family without fear is crucial. I will ALWAYS support programs like our “Back the Blue” legislation.

  • DELIVERING TAX RELIEF

This past session, I voted for the largest tax cut in state history and delivered $515 million of relief, but I am still not satisfied. I will continue to push for more relief and will NEVER vote to raise your taxes.

  • PROTECTING OUR ENERGY INDUSTRY

Protecting and bolstering our energy sector industry is essential for maintaining energy independence and economic stability. I will defend any and all attacks from Washington, D.C., on our state’s energy portfolio.

  • BUSINESS & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Promoting economic development provides an environment conducive to growth, innovation, and prosperity. This will create jobs for our community. I will support policies that eliminate red tape and spur economic development.

WHO IS SUPPORTING CLAIRE FOR SENATE?

  • Kevin Cramer, U.S. Senator

“Claire has my full confidence and support. I have worked with Claire and find her to be bright and hardworking. What I appreciate most about Claire is she shares the same convictions as most Republicans while maintaining healthy curiosity. She knows who she is and what it means to be Republican, and how to persuade more people to join our team. I am honored to call Claire a colleague and friend, and to give her my strongest endorsement for the June Primary.”
